Okay. My sister’s bar (called Stix) so the procurement process wasn’t exactly too demanding for either of us, but they don’t look too bad IMHO and guess who got a free lunch! (with beer)

Donncha’s Tree three weeks later.
Now that it’s officially winter in the UK and given that the weather at the weekend was so shite that even Slough would have looked bad and given that I had the afternoon off work today and the weather was lovely I went off to take some photos. This time I remembered to put a card in the camera. Below is Donncha’s tree in winter. (And why my greatest photographic success ever was driving him to Burnham Beeches.:-))

A period of sustained activity
This blog enjoyed a hit yesterday, the first for at least ten days. (WordPress could do me a favour and have a “Cold Blogs” section in the front page.)
Anyway, proper camera and a chance to play with depth of field etc. at Glendalough.
